David Tung began learning the piano at an early age.
After graduating from high school, he furthered his studies in London
where he gained his honours bachelor degree in Finance and Financial Information System.
He then obtained his master degree in E-commerce with the thesis Music Extraction System for Midi.
After joining Tom Lee Music Academy, he received instructions from Professor Edward Ho.
He took part in many piano competitions, among many awards were the Open Class Gold Medal,
Bach Class Gold Medal, Chopin Class First Class Award and Performance Class First Class Award, etc.,
as well as numerous Teacher’s Honour Prizes as a piano tutor.
David has received a Master Degree in Music from the Central Conservatory of Music,
a Fellowship in Music Performance from the Royal Schools of Music
and a Fellowship in Recital from the Trinity Guildhall.
Apart from having performed in several venues including recital halls and shopping malls,
he also conducts piano master classes and adjudicates as a piano judge in various competitions.
Besides piano, David also excelled in playing the harpsichord.
Furthermore, he is one of the bestselling writers in Hong Kong,
interviewed by different media groups on several occasions, including The Standard,
SCMP, Ming Pao, Sing Tao Daily, Oriental Daily and RTHK.
