Ellie Ng, Steinway Honorary Teacher,

Ms. Ellie Ng graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Studying under the guidance of
Steinway artist Professor Gabriel Kwok, she obtained a master’s degree in the Keyboard Department. During
her time at the academy, she successfully held several solo piano concerts, academic lecture concerts and
chamber music concerts. Meanwhile, she collaborated with the school orchestra and the principal of the wind
section of the Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra to record wind music albums, fully demonstrating her
extraordinary musical talent and excellent teamwork ability. In her earlier years, she graduated from the
Xinghai Conservatory of Music, studying under Steinway artist Dr. Vivian Li and received a bachelor’s
degree in music. During her university years, she was consecutively awarded the National Scholarship for
four years, which highlights her outstanding academic achievements.
Ms. Ng’s musical footprints have spanned across the oceans, reaching many countries such as Germany, the
United Kingdom, and South Korea. She has repeatedly achieved excellent results in numerous high-standard
music competitions both at home and abroad. In recent years, she has devoted herself to the cause of music
education and served as a judge for several well-known competitions.
With her profound and solid professional knowledge and keen musical insight, she, like a discerning talent
scout, has discovered and carefully cultivated a large number of outstanding musical talents.
On the path of social welfare, Ms. Ng has also been moving forward without stopping. Since 2012, she has
served as a staff member of Wewah Musicians, taking on the important tasks of teaching planning and
training of volunteer teachers. Up to now, Wewah Musicians has provided free and high-quality piano
teaching to more than 200 children from underprivileged families, lighting up the light of hope for these
children on their journey forward with music.
Ms. Ellie Ng actively encourages her students to have a global vision and expand their musical horizons. She
has personally led her students to participate in international competitions in places such as Japan and
France. Under her careful guidance and inspiration, her students have shone brightly and achieved
remarkable results in various music competitions. With her exquisite and professional teaching methods and
her deep and passionate love for music, Ms. Ng has inspired generation after generation of students to
continuously improve their skills on the path of music and showcase their unique brilliance. She is not only
an astonishingly talented pianist but also an educator highly respected in the industry for her both artistic and
moral excellence. She has unreservedly dedicated her efforts to the cause of music education and made
remarkable contributions.
