John Sit obtained Master Degree in Music at the Manhattan School of Music,
majoring in violin under Ms. Lucie Robert. He studied with Mr. Leung Kin Fung
before graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA).
He was granted the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship for the three-year degree
at HKAPA and attained Fellowship of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools
of Music (FRSM).
He has been selected to join the Asian Youth Orchestra, Texas music festival,
Beijing music festival and as the local musician in the famous Broadway Show
“Phantom of the Opera” Hong Kong tour, local musician of the Hong Kong Vienna
music festival, guest musician of Macau Virtuosi.
John is now second violin principal in City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong.
He is also the concertmaster of “Cantabile”. Besides performing, he is currently
the string orchestra conductor of La Salle College, La Salle Primary School, Good
Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten, Pui Ching Middle School and Pui Ching
Primary School. The orchestras and string ensemble he coached had achieved high
praise in different competitions.
