Dr. Serina Tse has dedicated many years to the fields of music education and piano pedagogy, and currently serves as the Director of Yamaha Children’s Music Programs. Driven by a deep passion for music education, she earned her Master of Arts in Music Teaching from the University of Reading, UK, followed by a Doctor of Education (EdD) specializing in Music Education from The Education University of Hong Kong.
In terms of professional performance and pedagogical credentials, Dr. Tse holds the Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance (LTCL) from Trinity College London, alongside the Certificate of Teaching from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). Over the course of her ongoing musical and pedagogical studies, she has also successfully achieved Grade 3 in Piano and Grade 3 in Fundamentals—the highest instructor levels within the Yamaha examination system.
Dr. Tse’s professional focus centers on children’s music education and piano pedagogical research, alongside an active commitment to teacher training and the promotion of instructional methodologies. Believing that meaningful education requires a balance of research and practical application, she works closely with her teaching team to translate contemporary educational theories into warm, nurturing classroom experiences, guiding both instructors and children in their shared musical growth.
