The age of 3 is the perfect time to start!
Age 3 is the ideal time to begin music education, as children are naturally imaginative and eager to express themselves.
Yamaha’s Primary 1 Course is designed to nurture this stage of development by engaging children in singing and
listening to a variety of music genres while incorporating playful elements into piano lessons.
This early start helps children build a deep, joyful connection to music. Rather than focusing solely on technical skills,
Yamaha emphasizes expressive, stress-free playing that encourages children
to develop their own musical style and emotional connection to sound.

Parental Attendance
Parent are required to attend PRIMARY 1 & 2 with their children,
and children are required to attend PRIMARY 3 on their own.
COURSE CONTENT
In the ”PRIMARY” course, they will learn musical skills through classical music as well as other music genres.

Lyric Singing
Children experience an exciting musical world through the lyrics and sing along with enthusiasm.
Repertoire
Children learn the various elements of music and refine the songs they can play at any time.
Music Theory
Children read the notes while enjoying the songs that they have sung and play without and difficulty.
Keyboard Games
While enjoying elements of ”play,” children will deepen their understanding of keyboard instruments, such as the highs and lows of notes and the position of the black keys.
Arrangement
Children are challenged to add harmonies to melodies and to develop these harmonies into more complex accompaniments.
Rhythm Ensemble
Children are divided in to parts and experience the joy of ensemble playing.
After completing PRIMARY Course…
Class Concert
Class concert at the end of each semester, sharing learning outcomes to parents.
Solo performance will be added from PRIMARY 2.
Fundamental Skills Survey
Children will take the ”Fundamental Skills Survey” to confirm musical skills that they acquired after completing PRIMARY 3.
You will receive detailed advice on advanced courses, ”Fundamental Skills Survey” evaluation report and certificate issued by Yamaha.
Certificate of Graduation
Children will receive a Certificate of Graduation after PRIMARY 3 as a learning achievement and encouragement.
